Autumn In Sogn

The other day I set out with my camera and some warm clothes, to have a go at doing a photography session outdoors in which my aim was to just take photos, concentrate on the light and composition and to have fun doing it!

A few days before, I had been carefully watching where the evening sun would shine into the bay that I am currently living in. So when I set out to take these photographs, I was confident that if the sun came out from behind the clouds down to the west of the fjord then I would be in the best spot to capture the low sunlight. I was just about to turn and head back when the sun did come out! After that I ran around like an excited gnome trying to get the best angles. And yes it was indeed fun!

Budock Water

During the last weeks of my time in Falmouth I took a group of Illustrator friends to one of my favourite woods in the area for a final campfire adventure. This kettle (sourced from the strange world of Trago Mills) was used to make our first try at nettle tea and we ended up toasting bread and tomatoes over the embers too. The woods are just on the other side of a little village called Budock water and the walk there from Falmouth is worth doing in itself.
